Review: Balea Peeling Creme-Oil: Apple And Cinnamon

I'm always looking for a good body peeling product. And if you remember, I was in love with a limited edition product by DM's brand Balea (read about it HERE). Well, the 'Buttermilk & Lemon' is gone now, and the new limited edition has arrived: the 'Apple & Cinnamon'. I do not like it as much as the old one. The old one had such an amazing smell. This one has cinnamon (I'm not a fan). While the product does do the job well, and gives great peeling, it's the smell that I do not like. At first I can only smell the cinnamon, and then when I rub the product in, I sense a hint of sweet apple. But not enough to get over the smell of cinnamon. If you can't stand cinnamon, then this is not for you. I'll be waiting for the next limited edition. I should have stocked up on the old one (insert tears). These are available at your local dm, and cost only 12kn.

Catrice 'Meet Rosy' And 'Meet Nudy' Matte Lipsticks

If you follow my twitter, you know how excited I was about this LE collection by CATRICE, “Une, deux, trois”. Check out the collection HERE. It features matte lipsticks, nail polishes, duo blushes and a mini kabuki brush. I've decided I do not like the duo-blushes, so I will not get them, but they seem to be amazing, just like (almost all) Catrice blushes. I got the two lipsticks (Velvet Lip Colours) I wanted the most - and I ended up being very disappointed. The colors look amazing swatched - but not on me. Ok, I guess I should have known with the 'Meet Nudy' that it's a hard-to-pull-off shade. But 'Meet Rosy' looks weird on me as well. And that's just the shade. The texture is not nice at all. They are very chalky, they leave little particles across the lips, they're difficult to apply, and they smell (and taste) kind of strange. If I want to make them work, I have to really moisturize and prepare my lips, and dab the lipstick on with my fingers. You really have to bend over backwards to make them work. To be brutally honest - I was in love with them - until I tried using them.
Gorgeous swatches above, right? But the texture, well, observe below.
Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm having a bad lip week. Maybe my lips are very dry. Maybe I'll love them in a week, but I wanted to write this post before these are completely sold out. I will try to make them work, so hopefully I'll get some use out of them. I am in love with the semi-matte lipsticks from the ''Feathers and Pearls'' Limited Edition collection by Catrice, but these are not for me. 'Meet Rosy' is sold out almost everywhere, so if you did not get it, don't cry. I might go back for 'Meet Cherry', because that one seemed to have a creamier formula than these two. 'Meet Berry' is far too dark for me, and as far as 'Meet Pinky' goes, it's a bold shade, so I'm not sure when I might wear it, and because the texture is difficult to work with, I will stay away from it. Did you try any of the lipsticks from the collection? Opinions?
A shame. If they were better, I'd get them all, look how gorgeous they seem:

Discussion: H&M Cosmetics

Happy Wednesday! So I was browsing through the H&M website, and came across the 'Cosmetics'. Some of the products from this post can be seen on the croatian H&M website, so I recently went to an H&M near me (Croatia), and I could not find these products. Is H&M cosmetics finally available in Croatia? Or not? I know you can find them in Austria or Germany, not sure about Slovenia. Anyways, let me know if you notice any of these in Zagreb, because some of these products look so good. Here is the photo-cluttered post that is the cuteness of H&M cosmetics (all the prices are really affordable, of course).
You know I am an absolute eyeshadow palette junkie, and these look so cute. They are only 40kn, which puts them in the range of Catrice eyeshadow palettes. Not sure about pigmentation, but they really are eye-candies. I honestly love them. They're adorable. The photo below shows the kind of palette I do not like:
The colors are BLAH, and I do not like the design. Smaller is better, I guess.

These eyelashes look really good to me, good length, and might be fun (they do not seem re-usable though). They're only 30kn, so that's a great price. I'd love to try them out.
Now, these blushes are 30kn, and they seem really amazing. I was able to find a review on them, and they seem to have a good texture. I love the first one the best (there should be a fourth color available as well, but can't find a photo of it). You get more than 7g of product. This seems like a really sweet deal.
H&M matte lipsticks...not sure what to think...are they chalky or not? Easy to apply? Difficult to say. The packaging could be nicer (not an eye-candy at all).
The non-matte lipsticks offer a larger selection of shades, some are really cute. Anyone tried them yet?
These lip tints and lip glosses are so adorable - now that's the kind of cute packaging I love. Would you agree. The lip tints are on my to-buy list, they seem so cute.
And these lip pens I think might be the best choice of the lip products - I see myself getting these rather than the lipsticks...
The nail polish bottles I really like, because I am not enjoying the H&M bottle design for a long time. They seem really depressing, but these are cute. I wonder if there are more colors available. Overall, H&M nail polishes are OK to me, usually the ones I have are 2-coaters, but surprisingly last a long time, and do not chip so easily.
Needless to say, I am in love with the creamy brushes. Especially the kabuki one. They look really cute. I guess I'll have to see them in store to be able to tell, but as far as quality goes, I think they might be in the range of Essence brushes. The black-brown brushes are not for me, and they seem to me to be harsh (while the creamy ones seem soft). It would be great if any of these were good, because we could all use good tools that don't cost a fortune.
Ok, and the last thing - the make-up bags. The creamy-blush-vanilla one is just the perfect one for me. The design is fabulous, just the kind of product I want to have in my purse. The pink one is also cute, and I could use it for my clutches. Seriously, I am drooling over these.

But sadly, haven't seen any of these products in Croatia yet. Have you seen them? Do you get any H&M make-up when you go to other european countries? Or do you stay away from H&M cosmetics? Let me know, and thanks for stopping by!

Jumping Juniper - Lush Shampoo Review

Hey, let's talk about my favorite shampoo. It's 'JUMPING JUNIPER' by LUSH. I have a very oily scalp, and before I discovered this product, if I'd wash my hair in the evening, the next morning it did not look fresh/clean. But with this shampoo my hair looks clean for 2 full days (a big deal for me). It really is a miracle product - it prolongs the time I can go without washing my hair and my hair stays oil-free MUCH longer. No other shampoo does this for me. The first time I bought this product, it lasted me about 6 months (amazing, right!), but that time I really took care of how I store it. This time around, I did not pay much attention to storage and it lasted me only 2,5 months. What I recommend is keeping it in a box (I did not buy the Lush tin box for shampoos, I just use a plastic soap-bar box), and only keeping it in the shower while washing your hair. After using it, I'd let it air dry and then store it in the box - this helped me make the product last longer. Here is what LUSH says about this shampoo: ''Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with LUSH conditioner if needed. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; we recommend using a LUSH shampoo bar tin.''. I've used liquid shampoo all my life, so I had doubts about shampoo in a bar - but it foams up so fast and so well, it's very easy to use. Personally, I absolutely detest lavender and I hate the smell of it, but it's workable, even for me. If you enjoy lavender, this is for you. As far as the ingredients go, you can check them out here: croatian or english. Oh, the reason my photo of this shampoo is light/white purple, and everywhere else it's dark-purple it's because this is what it looks like before you use it. Once wet, it turns into the gorgeous purple. Price of products is about 69 kn.
I hope this review was helpful. I really had a great experience with this product, and it made my hair work with me (and not against me), and made my hair look not-oily. So I do recommend it if you too have oily scalp and oily hair. As far as other Lush products go, I've tried out Godiva shampoo, which is the best smelling hair product for me, but it does nothing for my oily hair, so I do avoid it now (insert tears). I have also heard amazing things about the 'Soak And Float' shampoo which fights dandruff, but it depends can you handle the smell or not. I might get it for someone else. Since I've used up my 'Jumping Juniper', I'll have to go to Lush and get it again, but I might try a soap or two. Or that famous 'Lemony Flutter' that everyone has been raving about - I wonder if it's as good as I heard. Any recommendations? What do you think about Lush products?

Essence Sale - What I Got - Part Two

I went back for more essence goodies (LINK to my first essence post), I've been bad, LOL. Because I fell in love with the first two pigments I got (numbers 13 and 20), I got a lot more - and I'm obsessed - they're fun to play with, and they're just breathtakingly beautiful. The price of all items on sale is 9.99kn, and you can get them at DM in Croatia (later probably at Kozmo and Muller as well). A quick description of individual pigment shades:
01 studio 54 - Tiny glitter particles, doesn't blend into the skin, more difficult to apply than the others
02 smell the caramel - a gorgeous caramel-gold shade.
08 cop & copper - copper shade, easy application
06 WOW it's orange - coral-pink-orange. The name is misleading, it's a very pastel-like shade.
13 paparedzzi - not a fierce red, more of a pink-red, a mild red shade, still gorgeous.
03 box of chocolate - dark brown with sparkle
20 black sparrow - black with silver/blue undercolor
I applied all the pigments using this product:
Essence COLOUR ARTs Eye Base - I'm loving it, it's really great to use with pigments. I think this might become my new favorite base...how the hell did I not notice it until now? I might buy one more, I'm that obsessed with it.
I also got these false lashes - I went to my local DM the first day of sale, and I thought they were sold out, but when I went back a week later, they found they had more lashes in their storage and they put them out. I'm happy I got them, since I really wanted to try them out, but aaaargh I'm so angry they didn't put all the items out at once. Sloppy. Anyways, I'm so excited about these, I'm going to have so much fun with them!
And I got Stay With Me longlasting lipglosss in 02 My Favorite Milkshake. The shade is gorgeous (very peachy), but it's very watery. Because I didn't wear lipgloss for a while it will take me some time to get used to the feeling. But I think it's a good product. The shade really is a great match for my light skin tone.
