Summer Sunset Ombre Look

Happy Monday everyone! So I dug up these photos, I wore this look during the summer. Sunset Ombre is my favorite nail look. This would have looked so much better if I did some black stamping over it, but instead I put glitter on, and sort of ruined it. Here's a photo of that:
I like it better without the top coat. Anyways, the polishes I used are all unavailable (I'm trying to use up some of my older polishes), EXCEPT for the one on the pinky, which is Maybelline Colorama no.75 (amazing texture and color, I recommend this one). The winter is upon us, so it's time to do white-to-blue ombre looks. Do you wear Ombre nails at all? Thanks for stopping by!

Sunset Ombre With Dots

This is an update to a look I posted yesterday. Link to that post is HERE, where you can find all the info on the products used. The dotting is done by essence's Stampy polish in black.
I do a lot of dotted looks, especially dotted ombre. I just enjoy them so much. What do you think about them ? Would you wear them?

Sunset Ombre

My original plan was to do an ombre look with dotting on it (that post is coming tomorrow). I thought I might do black dots on these nails and then paint the thumb black with dots of these four colors. Well I did that - and it looked horrible. Yikes! So I present to you this ombre, the infamous thumb excluded. ;)
The red shade is by Maybelline, no.75. Awesome texture, the new COLORAMA line is amazing!
Ring finger is by essence, from the old collection. Just a classic carrot shade.
Middle finger is by Deborah Milano, Pret A Porter, 19 Sombrero Tan. Great quality polishes.
The yellow is by Maybelline but it's from the old mini colorama collection - I'm so grateful that they've changed the formula, the old collection was not good. Not good at all. Strange bottles as well.

Come back tomorrow to check out the dotted version ;)

Colorful Clouds On Pink

Hello and happy Wednesday! Here is a fun summer look I wore. I am in love with this hot pink polish - it was sent to me by the lovely N@ILBOX, you can check out her blog HERE. This is my first Gabrini polish, I do know they're very popular here. The smell reminded me of nail polishes from my childhood (weird, right?). Anyways, I'm wearing 2 coats, but 1 is enough. Picture of other nail polishes used in the bottom of the post.
Polishes used: some old essence color&go (I figure I might use these until they expire), Deborah Milano, Eveline miniMAX shade no. 801 (this shade looks gorgeous, I havent worn it solo yet), and the Gabrini, shade no. 366. Are you enjoying the summer ?

Rainbow Dots

Hey guys! So this look is a direct result of me being very bored, haha! I decided to 'upgrade' a simple look because I wanted something more...and I ended up not liking it very much. :( I think this would have looked much better over a nude polish. It's a fun look to wear, but next time I try this out I will have to remember to make the dotting nicer, instead of the way it turned out here. Oops! Here's a photo of my helpers:
And here's the look before the dotting - I wore Catrice's 'I Wear My Sunglasses At Night' - this is a dark polish with hints of pink and green glitter. I dont really remember the reason for picking this up at the store since in the bottle it doesnt really appeal to me, but I loved wearing it. The formula's a bit thick, but the sparkle is lovely. It somehow always ends up that the polishes I buy that I'm not too crazy about in the store I end up loving, and the ones I'm really excited about end up being just BLA. Funny how that works?
Anyway, see you all soon, hopefully with nicer stuff to show! ;)

Sunset Clouds, The Lost Photos

Hello all!
I was going through my computer and I found these photos which I totally forgot I had! I wore my nails like this some time in July. There are three colors in there, though the orange on the yellow isnt too visible...I learned how to do this 'clouds' design from an awesome blogger called nailside...this was the first time I did this and I fell in love with it! It's super easy to do and it looks great....As for the polishes used, they yellow one is by 'Smart girls get more' no.36. Smart Girls is very popular in my country, they're very cheap and offer a wide variety of colors. This was my first time using one of their polishes and I wasnt too impressed...it was just too watery...though I think it would work fine if I had put on one additional layer. I have more of their polishes, so I hope to have a better opinion of these as I start trying them out. The orange shade is Deborah 'Sombrero Tan' - love these polishes, and I have been obsessed with them this summer! The red one is again Catrice 'Bloody Mary To Go' - another shade I used waaay too much this summer....

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this look...I had a lot of fun wearing this! See you in the next post! ;)

Inspiration From The Internet

So some time ago I saw a post that just blew my mind: it was by a blogger called 'Sweet Sugar', I'll link it here. Anyway, after seeing it I got so inspired I decided to try and re-create it. Well it turned out NOT to look much like the original...the colors I used are bolder, but I absolutely LOVED this look. It was a lot of work - first achieving the gradient effect, then stamping the flowers on...but I had a lot of fun creating this! :)
The colors used are: Deborah no.19 (I got almost the entire Deborah pret-a-porter previous collection because they were on sale for less than 1 euro a bottle - how awesome! & these are amazing quality polishes for the price), then an Essence orange (sorry dont know the name, it was before the new bottle design) and then Catrice 'Bloody Mary To Go'. Before this look I had only tried this gradient effect once, so I was surprised at how great it looked. As for the stamping plates, I only have Essence stamping plates and they're amazing for me - great price for a lot of fun designs. This one with the Hibiscus flower that I used I havent seen in store lately. I have it since last year so I'm not sure if it's still in store - Hibiscus is my favorite flower so I had to have it...
Summer is almost over, so I'm afraid I wont be able to get away with such bold colors anymore, so it's time to set my mind to Autumn! ;) Also, since I'm new here in Blog-Land, dont know if it's OK to say you tried to re-do someone else's look, hopefully miss Sweet Sugar doesnt mind, I frikkin' LOVE her! ;) Until next time, love, Jelena
